Thanks for reading my list of the top five quarterbacks in Carolina Panthers history. Being a young franchise the Panthers have not had many great quarterbacks to be sure. But my list will tell you the top five Carolina Panthers quarterbacks of all time.
Ok you time travelers out there who may be reading this in 2012 or 2013, when Cam Newton will be more established. This article about the top five Carolina Panthers quarterbacks of all time was written in November of 2011.

5 Rodney Peete
Rodney Peete may be more known for being the husband of actress Holly Robinson Peete, but he was a decent quarterback for the Panthers. Overall considered a bust he did have a lengthy NFL career. Rodney Peete threw for over 2,600 yards and 15 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions for the Carolina Panthers.
4 Kerry Collins
If only he hadn’t had drinking and maturity problems then Kerry Collins would be considered the best Carolina Panthers quarterback of all time. Collins did throw for over 8,000 yards in Carolina but his 47 touchdown passes against 54 interceptions was not very good. Still Kerry Collins is one of the top five quarterbacks to ever play for the Panthers.
3 Cam Newton
At the week 12 point of Cam Newton’s rookie season I have him ranked as the third best Carolina Panthers quarterback of all time. Cam Newton does the rookie thing which is throwing interceptions but that will stop soon. Newton has the “IT” factor as a passer, runner and a leader.
2 Steve Beuerlein
Beuerlein is my favorite Carolina Panthers quarterback and the 2nd best one in team history. Beuerlein threw for over 12,000 yards in Carolina with 86 touchdown passes against just 50 interceptions and was a team leader as well.
1 Jake Delhomme
Jake Delhomme is the best quarterback that the Carolina Panthers has ever had. We all remember Jake as the “Bad Jake” who couldn’t hit a barn with a tractor. But Jake Delhomme was a sold NFL quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. As you can read here I have Jake Delhomme ranked 5th of the top ten Carolina Panthers of all time.
